We hereby declare that Rye's annual Mayor Making and 'throwing of the hot pennies' will take place Monday 5th May 2025. 

Gather outside the Town Hall from 12:15 to enjoy the wonderful historic tradition of hot penny throwing! 

You can also join the church service that follows Mayor Making, you must be seated in St Mary's Church by 11:30am.
